Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

I am pleased with my dining experience at Koi. This photo does not accurately represent the many delicious vegetarian courses that I enjoyed during my dinner at Koi. As a person who prefers to extend dining time and is attracted to culinary variety, I value this dining method. I was never rushed, and I felt comfortable enough to read my electronic tablet while I enjoyed my solo-date. I was able to select many menu dishes that are appropriate for a vegetarian diet. There are some dishes that are labeled vegetarian but include egg. The dishes can be modified to meet vegan standards, because they are made-to-order. If you are following a vegan diet, be sure to read the menu and ask the waiting staff about dish details. I am still inspired by the flavors and textures of this dining experience one month after my dinner at Koi. The employee who welcomed me was able to inform me about many dish details immediately upon my inquiries. She confidently provided knowledgeable descriptions of specific ingredients and language translations. I value her professionalism and consistency. From my perspective, it seems like the restaurant is designed to appeal to a demographic of youthful students

Absolutely love this place! This was my husband and I's date night and first time here. I love the decor and even though I didn't sit at the sushi bar it's a place I want to sit at next. The server was super friendly and explained their menu and items thoroughly. The sushi was fresh, it was formed well and held together. The eel sauce and spicy mayo were tasty. The menu is plentiful in rolls and appetizers. There's hibachi and ramen on the menu included in the AYCE. Their teas are fragrant and tasty.

My boyfriend and I needed a date night, and this was such a good place to go. sushi was sooooo fresh, usually we drench our sushi in soy sauce but it was way to good to do that. All the flavors were phenomenal!π© I had miso soup to start off with, never had it before and Iβll definitely order it again. Our waitress (I didnβt get her name Iβm sorry) was so sweet, she showed us how it works and she had such a positive friendly attitude. 10/10 will be coming back!

We went there 5 times since they changed management. At first, it was fantastic which made us keep going back. However, about 3-4 months in, quality and consistency started to be a concern. i.e. scarce salmon roe on a sushi, it wasnβt like this when they first opened, but this has become the norm. We asked our server about it, and was basically it is what it is.. Our last straw was when we ordered salmon nigiri, but was served smoked salmon nigiri instead. We told the server those were not what we ordered, and the response was well itβs on your table now, you will have to finish it or there will be penalty.. With two unpleasant experiences in a row, we stopped going :(

Excellent! I was super excited when I located this place in a search for lunch. The sushi was of good quality and fresh. The giyoza was also good. The yakitori was IMO on the Chinese side of chicken on a stick but it was good. My server was very friendly and attentive. The place was clean and nicely decorated. They even give a 10% discount for military, veterans, health workers, and some others. Couldn't be happier and will definitely be back. For a $19 (drink extra but total was $21) all you can eat Japanese food and sushi you can't beat it.
